Deliverables
Client: Total Interior Contracts.
Location: Leeds City Council Offices, Leeds.
Project Lead Time: 3 Weeks.
The biggest challenge we faced with this project was the short design and build time, which made it a challenge to procure the specified Swedish designer lighting. The longest lead item was a Zero Shibuya pendant and the Zero Clark wall lights. With an estimated delivery time of 6-7 weeks – this lighting is a made-to-order item, and has to be specially built for this project.
To supplement the ambient feature lighting, we also installed a number of Gamma Illumination heavy-duty black surface mounted cannister spotlights, creating a ‘runway effect’ on the ceiling stretching over to the lifts that serve each level.
Within the newly formed reception area we created a small meet-and-greet space with a tea point and comfy seating, all highlighted by the newly-installed Gamma Illumination Jingo black track and directional spotlights.
We installed a new Paxton Net2 Concierge phone, which allows the concierge to view and speak to the person wanting to gain access, or divert the call directly to the visitor’s point of contact. Once in the building, the visitors are greeted by a concierge who can, if needed, contact tenants in each space to inform them of their visitor or allow them access straight through into the building.
